Garage Demolition, Replacement and Maintenance Services

Derby Homes, the housing management organisation for Derby City Council, is seeking a contractor to demolish, replace, and maintain garage sites across Derby city. The successful contractor will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, including: demolishing existing pre-cast concrete garages; constructing raft foundations to structural engineers' standards; supplying and erecting new Pent Design Pre-Cast Sectional Concrete Garages; constructing groundwork and reinforced concrete foundations; laying tarmacadam and drainage; building open and close-boarded fencing; installing electrical services for security lighting; and fitting Gyproc Fireline Plasterboard compartmentation. Projects involve 6-24 garages per site with individual site costs up to £250,000. The contractor must conduct site visits to assess conditions and accessibility, provide comprehensive method statements and risk assessments complying with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, maintain and repair any damage caused during works, and supply a 10-year structural guarantee for the new garages. All labour, plant, materials, planning submissions, and building control approvals are the contractor's responsibility. This is a single-contractor procurement covering all aspects of garage site refurbishment across Derby.
