Greece – Data Network Equipment – "Upgrade of the Data Network at the Central Building of the Ministry of Education in Marousi"

The contract involves the procurement of necessary equipment and software, as well as the provision/development of services to meet the networking needs of users at the central building of the Ministry of Education, Religion, and Sports, including IP telephony services. Specifically, the contract includes the supply of items and services in the following categories: 1) Equipment: • Active network equipment with a central management system (three (3) core network switches) • Active network equipment (fifty-five (55) access network switches) • Wireless network equipment with a central management system (eighty-eight (88) wireless access points) • Structured cabling (vertical and horizontal for sixty (60) workstations) • IoT and other Sensors (sixteen (16) per category, including temperature and humidity sensors, water detection sensors, door status sensors) 2) Support Services: • Feasibility and Implementation Study • Supply of equipment and software • Installation and configuration services for equipment, integration of equipment into the Central Network Management System, • Migration of services from old to new equipment • Removal of old wired & wireless equipment (switches, routers, etc.) and structured cabling • Warranty and technical support services. • Training services • Technical support services (Help Desk). The project is not divided into sections due to the architecture of the project, the complementarity and interdependencies between tasks, and the high interoperability requirements that must be ensured among the functional units to be developed, as well as the limited implementation time. A unified approach is required for implementation, considering both the specificities of the Operating Authority and the need for a comprehensive solution that includes hardware, software, and accompanying installation services, warranty, and staff training in the shortest possible time. The estimated value of this contract is €1,178,000.00 including 24% VAT (budget without VAT: €950,000.00, VAT: €228,000.00). After the conclusion of the initial contract, during the implementation of the project and before the expiration of the contract, the Contracting Authority may decide to exercise the option to increase the physical scope of the project (as described herein) by up to thirty percent (30%) of the contractual price. Therefore, the total maximum estimated value of the contract, including the aforementioned options, amounts to €1,235,000.00 excluding VAT (budget including VAT: €1,531,400.00, VAT 24% €296,400.00). The exercise of the aforementioned options is subject to securing funding. The duration of the contract is set at six (6) months from the date of signing, including the process of checking and accepting deliverables, as specified in Section 6.3 of this document.
