All Age Carers Support Service

Telford and Wrekin is seeking to deliver comprehensive support services for carers of all ages (both adult and young carers) across the borough. With approximately 18,000 carers currently supporting family members, friends, or loved ones with chronic, life-limiting, or long-term illnesses, this service is critical to the community. The service will implement Telford and Wrekin's All Age Carers Strategy 2024-2029 by focusing on four key priorities: (1) supporting unpaid carers' physical and mental health and wellbeing; (2) developing an all-age community-based approach to carer support; (3) promoting a carer-friendly borough through partnership with carers and wider community; and (4) empowering carers through co-production to drive systemic change. The service specification recognizes that while core support elements apply to both adult and young carers, delivery models must be tailored to meet the specific needs of each age group. This is an opportunity to deliver inclusive, person-centered support that values carers and ensures they receive timely, appropriate assistance.
