Adult Weight Management Service Procurement 2027

Hampshire County Council's Public Health team is procuring tier 2 adult weight management services to support residents in achieving and maintaining healthy weights, in line with NICE guidelines. This procurement includes two lots: Lot 1 (Universal Service) - Maximum contract value £4,375,790 for 3 years plus two optional 1-year extensions: - Standard tier 2 weight management service delivered face-to-face at 70+ venues across Hampshire, with remote options for those unable to attend in person - Physical activity-based tier 2 weight management service combining behaviour change with physical activity interventions, delivered at 70+ venues in single-sex and mixed-sex groups Lot 2 (Specialist Service) - Maximum contract value £1,267,078 for 3 years plus two optional 1-year extensions: - Specialist tier 2 weight management service for people with severe mental illness, delivered face-to-face at 5+ venues - Specialist tier 2 weight management service for people with learning disabilities, delivered face-to-face at 5+ venues All services must deliver evidence-based interventions lasting at least 12 consecutive weeks using multiple behaviour-change methods, structured goal-setting, and digital support platforms. Lot 2 services must include appropriate adaptations for mental health conditions and learning disabilities, with programmes delivered in small groups of up to 15 participants. Providers must develop clear referral pathways, market the services, and ensure compliance with current NICE guidance. This is a market testing exercise to gauge supplier interest.
