Targeted Prostate Cancer Screening Programme: Market Engagement for PSA Testing, MRI Reporting and BRCA Digital Resource

NHS England is conducting preliminary market engagement to understand supplier capability for three interconnected workstreams supporting targeted prostate cancer screening for high-risk men, including those with BRCA2 variants. Workstream 1 involves PSA laboratory processing and pathway support; Workstream 2 focuses on prostate MRI reporting; Workstream 3 requires BRCA digital decision resource development and evaluation. The engagement seeks input on delivery models, mobilisation requirements, risks, pricing, digital governance, pathway interfaces and route-to-market options. Workstreams 1 and 2 may be procured under the Provider Selection Regime, while Workstream 3 will follow the Procurement Act 2023. Suppliers may respond to one or multiple workstreams based on their capabilities. This engagement does not constitute a formal call for competition, commit NHS England to procurement, or require participation for future tender eligibility. Different procurement routes may apply to different workstreams following commercial review.
