Supply of Double-Deflecting Mirror System for Diamond Light Source B23 Beamline

Diamond Light Source is a world-leading research facility on the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire that enables scientists from academia and industry to study atomic and molecular structures. The facility is undergoing a major upgrade to Diamond-II, which will significantly improve research speed, spatial resolution, and user access to enhanced instruments. Beamline B23 is a specialized ultraviolet-visible beamline that operates in the 125-800 nm wavelength range (1.55-10 eV) and conducts synchrotron radiation circular dichroism (SRCD) experiments using a lattice dipole-quadrupole magnet source. The beamline consists of two modules (A and B) providing UV and visible light for these experiments. This procurement seeks a supplier to design, manufacture, and deliver a high-performance double mirror system that horizontally and vertically deflects light according to detailed specifications. The mirror system must include: (1) an Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) vessel to maintain the required vacuum environment; (2) a support structure; (3) alignment adjustment mechanisms; and (4) compatibility with two mirror optics (supplied separately) equipped with motorized 3-point kinematic motion systems. The successful supplier will work to an agreed shared concept design and must meet all performance requirements outlined in the specification document.
