Drone Training, Support and Maintenance Services

Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is seeking a Recognised Assessment Entity (RAE) to provide comprehensive drone training, support, and maintenance services for their expanding drone fleet. The service provider will be responsible for: (1) Training - delivering A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CoC) courses with practical flight skills components; (2) Support - acting as the primary contact for pilot queries, verifying contractor certifications, conducting flight skills tests, producing Standard Operating Procedures, attending bi-annual pilot meetings, and providing emergency incident support; (3) Maintenance - performing maintenance on FLS's current fleet of 33 drones, expected to grow during the contract period. FLS operates in the Open Category for low/no-risk drone operations and plans to transition to fully in-house operations. The contract runs for 36 months with an optional 24-month extension. Applicants must be a current RAE and cannot hold any existing drone operations contracts with FLS or be affiliated with organizations that do. Upon award, successful bidders become ineligible for future FLS drone operations tenders during the contract period.
