Creative Mentoring Service for Children in Care and At-Risk Young People

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a service provider to deliver creative mentoring to children in care and young people under the Virtual School's extended duties, from Reception to Year 13. The service will operate regionally across Derbyshire and nationally throughout England where children and young people are placed with other local authorities. The provider must manage a network of creative mentors and support up to 65 children and young people at any one time for periods of up to one term. The mentoring service should support young people in mainstream education and those at risk of suspension or permanent exclusion, using an established mentoring model adapted to meet individual needs. Note: This contract may be affected by Local Government Reorganisation and could be novated to a successor council under the Procurement Act 2023.
