British Council Art Collection Facility Fit-Out in Coventry

The British Council is relocating its nationally significant collection of over 8,700 modern and contemporary British artworks to a new long-term storage and management facility in Coventry, England. The collection is currently lent to museums and galleries across the UK and internationally, and supports collaborative professional development programmes with partner institutions. Working with the Arts Council Collection and Culture Coventry Trust, the British Council is collaborating with Coventry City Council to convert a former Ikea store in Coventry City Centre into a multi-tenant facility. This project requires fit-out works for Cat A+ (shell and core plus enhanced finishes) and Cat B (fully fitted out) spaces to meet specialized art storage and care requirements. Suppliers should have experience in heritage collection storage, climate control systems, security infrastructure, and museum-standard facility design.
