Supply and Installation of Steel Sheet Piles for A66 Project

This contract involves the supply and installation of steel sheet piling for the A66 NTP Project, specifically in the BBA Section 3b. Suppliers are required to provide various sizes of steel sheet piles, complete with corrosion protection and cut to length as needed. The installation work includes driving, vibration, pre-drilling, cutting, interlock connections, and the use of tie rods, waling, and bracing systems. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for the removal of sheet piles after the completion of the project. Associated works include the provision of pile guide frames, dewatering screens, and structural support components. Pre-construction activities such as site mobilization, setting out, quality assurance testing, and preparation of record drawings are also required. Coordination with other project disciplines, including foundations, drainage, and earthworks teams, is essential. All work must comply with relevant standards and regulations, including BD 21/01 and National Highways Specification. Suppliers must demonstrate their capability to manage risks, provide method statements, and collaborate closely with the Balfour Beatty site and engineering teams. A competitive tender process will be conducted to select a single partner for this project.
