    Brief

This is a notice for suppliers regarding an upcoming procurement opportunity for the supply of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) equipment specifically designed for the Water Management Zones (WMZ) at the Sizewell C site. The procurement will focus on desilting units that are essential for controlling the discharge of suspended solids from the outfalls. These units will include pumps and additional equipment necessary to transport water from the discharge network to the treatment plant, as well as to integrate the pumps with the control systems. The treatment plants will primarily treat surface runoff water collected through the site drainage network, but they will also handle emergency potable water discharges and some groundwater dewatering that cannot be effectively treated at the main groundwater treatment plant. The following table outlines the space and power requirements for each WMZ treatment plant: - WMZ 1: 12x6m footprint, treatment flow rate of 23.7 l/s (85.3 m3/hr), power requirement of 15-20 kW, powered by generator. - WMZ 2: 12x6m footprint, treatment flow rate of 27.6 l/s (99.4 m3/hr), power requirement of 15-20 kW, powered by network. - WMZ 3: 16x6m footprint, treatment flow rate of 40.7 l/s (147 m3/hr), power requirement of 35-40 kW, powered by network. - WMZ 5: 12x6m footprint, treatment flow rate of 31.2 l/s (112 m3/hr), power requirement of 20-25 kW, powered by generator. - WMZ 7: 25x7.5m footprint, treatment flow rate of 62.0 l/s (223 m3/hr), power requirement of 35-40 kW, powered by generator. - TMO: 25x25m footprint, treatment flow rate of 200 l/s (720 m3/hr), power requirement to be confirmed, powered by generator. The treatment plants will focus on managing total suspended solids (TSS), while hydrocarbons will be managed separately by the client using booms. The TSS concentration limits are as follows: - Outfall to the SSSI: 60 mg/l - Outfall to the sea: 250 mg/l Please note that pH correction is not included for each WMZ, but it may be required for some plants.
