Adult Advocacy Services - Preliminary Market Engagement

Swindon Borough Council is conducting preliminary market engagement to shape the commissioning of Adult Advocacy Services for residents. This consultation invites providers to respond to a questionnaire and provide feedback to help develop the final service specification and commercial model. The council seeks a single supplier to deliver comprehensive advocacy services supporting adults to have their voice heard, rights upheld, and interests represented in accordance with statutory duties. The service will encompass eight key components: Independent Care Act Advocacy (ICAA) for individuals with substantial difficulty in Care Act processes; Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) for those lacking capacity to make specific decisions; Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) for qualifying mental health patients; Independent Health Complaints Advocacy (IHCA) for NHS service complaints; Independent Social Care Complaints Advocacy for adult social care complaints; Rule 1.2 (Rule 3A) Representative Advocacy for Court of Protection representation; Litigation Friend Advocacy for legal proceedings support; and facilitation of the quarterly Learning Disability Partnership Board.
