Brief

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is seeking a qualified and environmentally responsible contractor for peatland restoration work at Crossbane Lough Area of Special Scientific Interest (ASSI) in County Armagh. The project involves supplying and installing approximately 1.5 km of perimeter fencing, native hedgerow, and cattle drinkers to protect the sensitive peatland habitat from grazing animals and enable future conservation grazing management. The fencing will safeguard the ecological integrity of this protected site while establishing secure containment for livestock control. This work is funded through the PEAT+ project, administered by the Special EU Programmes Body. Contractors should demonstrate expertise in habitat protection, fencing installation in wetland environments, and environmental best practices.
