Waste Management Services for Thames Water Operations

Thames Water, the UK's largest water and wastewater service company serving 9 million customers, is seeking reliable waste management partners to support approximately 150 sites across their operations. The company generates significant waste volumes from water treatment and sewage processing, including screenings and grit, incinerator ash, metals, hazardous materials, and general construction waste. Thames Water prioritises recycling and alternative reuse solutions to minimise landfill dependency. This contract is structured across six lots with the following annual volumes: Lot 1a (Screenings & Grit via Grab-Lorry): 19,500-23,500 tonnes; Lot 1b (Screenings & Grit via Skips): 11,000-15,000 tonnes; Lot 2 (Ash): 4,500-5,000 tonnes; Lot 3a (Metals): 500-700 tonnes; Lot 3b (Hazardous): 120-150 tonnes; Lot 3c (Multi-Waste): 5,000-5,500 tonnes. Suppliers may apply for multiple lots. Thames Water is open to innovative partners who can develop sustainable waste management and recycling solutions while ensuring continuous, efficient site operations.
