Peer Support Services for Breastfeeding Families

The London Borough of Haringey is awarding a contract for breastfeeding peer support services under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This service supports families in initiating and maintaining breastfeeding, a key public health priority that improves infant and maternal health outcomes and reduces health inequalities in the community. The contract will run for two years from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2030. This is an intention to award notice to the existing provider, whose performance was assessed across five key criteria: Quality and Innovation (40%), Improving Access and Reducing Health Inequalities (20%), Value (20%), Social Value (10%), and Integration and Service Sustainability (10%). The Council is satisfied that the existing provider can deliver the service to a sufficient standard. This award is made under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and is not subject to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 or Procurement Act 2023. Providers have until midnight on 30 June 2026 to submit representations to HPCS@haringey.gov.uk.
