Sustainable Drainage System Installation at North Fawdon Primary School

North Fawdon Primary School in Newcastle is seeking suppliers and contractors to implement a Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) project to address surface water flooding issues affecting the school and nearby properties on Creswell Drive. The project is funded through the Department for Education's SuDS in Schools scheme, with a 50% grant from DfE matched by 50% funding from the Northumbria Regional Flood & Coast Committee. The SuDS installation will include features such as detention basins, swales, and raingardens designed to store and gradually release surface water during heavy storms, reducing flood risk while providing environmental, health, wellbeing and amenity benefits.
