Brief

This research project supports the Commission for Victims and Survivors in fulfilling its statutory duties to review victim and survivor services and establish best practice guidance. The project examines the needs and experiences of families bereaved by the conflict and troubles in Northern Ireland. It aligns with The Executive Office Strategy for Victims and Survivors of the Troubles/Conflict 2024-2034, emphasizing victim-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches. The research will inform service improvements and ensure guidance reflects diverse and changing needs while empowering affected families. This work is funded through the Peaceplus programme.
