Perinatal Mental Health and Parent-Infant Peer Support Groups - Market Engagement

Kent County Council is seeking input from voluntary sector, charitable, and community organisations to help design and deliver a three-year Perinatal Mental Health and Parent-Infant Relationships Outreach Peer Support programme across five districts (Thanet, Swale, Dartford, Dover, and Gravesham). The programme, part of the Best Start in Life - Healthy Babies initiative, will provide peer support to vulnerable families including Black and Asian mothers, young parents (aged 18-25), care leavers, and expectant parents in high-need areas. The budget is £250,000 per year for two years (April 2027 onwards). This is a market engagement event (not a formal tender) to gather intelligence, build relationships, and understand organisational capacity and innovative approaches. Attendees are invited to one of two virtual sessions (24 June or 1 July 2024) to share expertise, discuss feasibility, and contribute to model development through a questionnaire.
