Cleaning Services Contract - Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College

Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College seeks a cleaning contractor to provide comprehensive cleaning services at its Birmingham campus (1 Belgrave Rd, B12 9FF). This is a three-year contract from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029, with optional extensions of up to three additional years. The annual contract value is approximately £318,000 plus VAT. The contractor will work on a fixed-price basis with monthly invoicing (one-twelfth of annual cost), subject to monthly reconciliation based on actual hours worked. The College requires that all budgeted hours are consistently delivered with contingency systems in place for planned and unplanned leave. The successful contractor must demonstrate innovation in cleaning methods and equipment, achieve BIC'S standards as a minimum, enhance operative productivity, and propose environmentally sensitive and carbon-neutral solutions aligned with the College's environmental policies. The contractor must also offer progressive employment terms to maintain a stable, fully-staffed team with minimal turnover.
