Hospital and Community Navigator Service for Young Victims of Violence

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is advertising this notice for technical compliance purposes. This opportunity involves providing a Hospital and Community Navigator Service to support young people aged 10-25 who have experienced violence-related injuries or harm. The service will engage vulnerable young people presenting at Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments with violence-related injuries or referred through community partners. Navigators will provide face-to-face support where possible, with telephone support as an alternative. The service must prioritize victims' interests, maintain confidentiality (except for safeguarding concerns), ensure equal treatment, remain accessible regardless of police involvement, apply a gendered approach to service delivery, and advocate for victims' rights. Navigators will work alongside clinical staff to identify at-risk young people using professional judgment. The service aligns with GMCA's Greater Than Violence Strategy and commitment to supporting families and communities affected by serious violence through place-based integrated support.
