Causeway Coast and Glens Multi-Cultural Community Programme - Sports and Cultural Integration

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is seeking qualified organization(s) or individual(s) to deliver a comprehensive community programme that builds understanding and relationships between local indigenous and newcomer (Black and Minority Ethnic) communities. Using sports, music, arts, dance, food, and crafts as mediums, the programme will help participants learn about diverse cultures, challenge division and misconceptions, and increase confidence in shared participation. The programme must recruit a minimum of 250 participants (equally distributed across Catholic, Protestant, and Other backgrounds) and deliver at least 26 hours of meaningful multicultural engagement per participant across 7 designated areas. Key deliverables include an educational component covering diversity, equality, and conflict management; a sports-based programme exploring at least 12 local sports from various cultural traditions; and a celebration or showcase event. Funding of €117,842 (excluding VAT) is available over 14 months, with delivery expected to be completed by September 2027. The Council welcomes collaborative partnerships or individual submissions and encourages innovative approaches that build on bidders' expertise and experience.
