Underwater Exploration Services in Bergen Fjords (2026-2030)

This contract involves conducting underwater exploration services in the fjord systems around Bergen, specifically from Bjørnafjorden to Gulen, over a period from 2026 to 2030. The project is a collaboration between the Government Manager in Vestland and several municipalities, including Alver, Askøy, Bergen, Bjørnafjorden, Osterøy, and Øygarden, with Bergen municipality acting as the project manager and contracting authority. The scope of work includes monitoring the environmental conditions of the fjords, particularly focusing on the impact of sewage on water quality, oxygen levels, and overall ecosystem health. The monitoring will build on previous studies, especially the extensive Byfjord surveys conducted by Bergen municipality over several decades. Suppliers will need to follow specific water regulation principles and methods for monitoring, and they should account for invoicing all contributors to the project.
