Explosives Detection Dogs (EDD) Training Aids Supply Contract

This contract awards the supply of Explosives Detection Dogs (EDD) training aids under the C16829 EDD Training Aids Framework (Lots 2-5). EDD training aids are controlled materials used to safely train, test, and validate explosive detection dogs by exposing them to relevant explosive-related odours in a controlled and consistent manner. The Department for Transport (DfT) procures these aids to maintain effective detection capability for aviation security and wider protective security applications. The training kits provide approved materials for ongoing training, validation, assurance and certification activities, enabling organizations to demonstrate continued operational effectiveness of their detection dogs. Suppliers should be aware that these are controlled materials subject to regulatory requirements, and successful contractors must meet safety, quality, and compliance standards for handling and delivering explosive-related training compounds.
