Czech Republic – Cogeneration Unit for Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tábor Klokoty

This public procurement contract involves the supply, installation, and commissioning of a new cogeneration unit (KGJ) in an outdoor setting (the machine will be housed in a steel container). The installation requires the construction of a cable connection between the upper and lower areas of the wastewater treatment plant (ČOV). Alongside the new electrical cables, the existing old drinking water pipes connecting the upper and lower areas will be replaced. Additionally, the sludge discharge from the lower to the upper area will be rehabilitated, and part of the gravity pipeline from the upper to the lower area will also be rehabilitated. The replacement of the sewage pipeline and sludge discharge will not be done through open excavation but will be carried out using trenchless rehabilitation methods within the existing pipeline. The contract also includes the preparation of a proposal to supplement the operational regulations of the Klokoty wastewater treatment plant, ensuring communication with EG.D and the future operator, providing documentation, and submitting a request for a binding opinion to the air protection authority before the completion of the construction, as well as ensuring a trial operation period of 12 months, including noise measurement. Warranty and post-warranty service for the KGJ will be provided for 5 years based on a service contract between the supplier/manufacturer of the KGJ and the operator ČEVAK a.s.
