Reconstruction of Pakkahuoneenlaituri

The project involves the reconstruction of the Pakkahuoneenlaituri. This includes rebuilding the old pier and the harbor wall. The construction site is located north of the Makasiininlaituri in Helsinki's South Harbor, on the eastern edge of the Vironalta. The contracting authority is the City of Helsinki's Urban Environment Division, specifically the General Areas service, which also acts as the client according to YSE 98. All work specified in the contract documents must be completed and accepted, with all required inspections by authorities and inspecting bodies successfully conducted by April 30, 2027. The contract type is a total contract, where the selected contractor acts as the main contractor as defined by YSE and Finnish legislation. The contractor is responsible for site management and site services. The work will be carried out as a lump-sum contract. The site will be implemented as a low-emission site, with requirements outlined in section 4.2 of the contract annex. The quantities presented in the plans are not binding for the client. The contractor will be selected based on the most economically advantageous offer. The most economically advantageous offer is the lowest priced offer that meets the suitability requirements set by the client. A subcontractor of the contractor in a contractual relationship with the client has the right to further subcontract the contract. However, further subcontracting beyond this is not possible without a specifically justified reason and written consent from the client/contractor.
