Tree Removal for Flood Protection Project in Hohenweiden, Germany

The State Enterprise for Flood Protection and Water Management of Saxony-Anhalt (LHW) is planning the construction of the Hohenweiden dike, which includes sections in Benkendorf, Rockendorf, and Hohenweiden. Due to the project's large scope, it has been divided into two construction lots. Lot 1 involves the construction of two dam structures, a flood protection wall, and a retaining wall in Hohenweiden. The tree and shrub vegetation in Lot 1 has already been cleared. This tender is for tree removal work in the planned dike areas of Lot 2, which includes the dike sections in Benkendorf, Rockendorf, and Hohenweiden. The planned measures aim to adapt flood protection to the events of June 2013 and their inadequate protection level. Additionally, this project is part of the continuous left-side flood protection of the Saale River. The basis for this work is the planning approval process completed with the planning approval decision from January 2019. Required services include: - Construction site marking - Evidence securing - 1,000 m of clearance profile - 1,500 m² of access road construction - 25,000 m² of mowing work - Removal of 64 trees - Clearing of 4,150 m² of shrubs.
