Environmental Monitoring and Support for Construction in Germany

This contract involves ecological support and monitoring for a construction project located east of the K1020 county road, within the Elbdeich water management area. The area is primarily agricultural land and grassland. To prevent flooding from drainage water, the Elbdeich water management system must be isolated from backflow at the K1020 bridge, and the water level in the water channel must be actively lowered. Drainage water from the Aland and Elbe rivers will be pumped into the Aland. This will be achieved through the construction of a new pumping station with a free sluice between the right Aland dikes 1 and 2. A cross dike will also be constructed between the two dikes, approximately 50 meters apart, to accommodate the pumping station and sluice. The sections of the Aland dikes will be upgraded to meet DIN standards, covering a total length of about 210 meters. Access to the pumping station will be via the dike defense paths, which will be designed as crown control paths with level connections to the K1020 county road. Ecological support and monitoring are required for this project.
