Brief

The municipality of Ermelo is seeking a project leader to manage an effective lobbying effort addressing the negative impacts of the reevaluation of the municipal fund. The project leader will collaborate closely with the project team to analyze the financial implications for Ermelo and clearly outline how the current reevaluation plans disproportionately affect the municipality. This role involves working with a public affairs staff member who initiates and maintains constructive discussions with relevant stakeholders at the national level. The municipality of Ermelo is part of a guidance group established by the national government to study the effects of the reevaluation. This effort is not only for Ermelo but also for approximately twenty other municipalities in the Netherlands. The goal is to foster understanding of the specific situation of Ermelo and other municipalities and to explore alternative solutions or adjustments to the municipal fund reevaluation. Together with the project team, the project leader will develop a strategic lobbying approach, including concrete arguments and justifications, to effectively advocate for Ermelo's interests. Periodic reports on the progress and outcomes of the lobbying efforts will be required, ultimately contributing to a fairer and more balanced distribution of resources within the municipal fund.
