Wildlife Overpass Construction Project

The project involves the construction of a wildlife corridor, specifically the GL 06 Biberlikopf, which is of regional importance and is interrupted by the National Road N03. The goal is to create a wildlife overpass to facilitate animal movement. The structure will be a three-hinged arch made of glued laminated timber beams with a span of 57.3 meters. The horizontal thrust of the arch will be supported by tension cables located beneath the National Road. The foundation will be established using concrete driven piles. Additionally, the project includes the construction of a wooden noise barrier along the N03 and the installation of a wildlife fence. Adjustments to third-party drainage lines within the project perimeter are also required. The project will be planned using Building Information Modeling (BIM) methods, and procurement and execution will be model-based.
