Footwear for Professional Use – Non-Slip Shoes

This procurement is for non-slip shoes intended for the staff of the North Savo welfare area to prevent work-related accidents and injuries during commutes. The primary need for these shoes is in home care services for the elderly, as well as in family and disability services. The shoes do not need to be safety shoes (e.g., with toe and nail protection), but should be winter shoes designed for professional use with slip-resistant features. The shoes must be suitable for fieldwork and should be a lightweight model. Approximately 9,000 pairs of non-slip shoes are expected to be procured over the contract period for about 5,000 employees across the North Savo welfare area. Shoes will be renewed as needed, approximately every two to three years. The estimated contract duration is four (4) years from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2029. One (1) supplier will be selected for the contract period. The North Savo welfare area has outsourced maintenance and support services to its owned in-house companies (Servica Oy and Istekki Oy). These in-house companies may act as organizers of maintenance or, if necessary, as providers of maintenance services. Suppliers are requested to consider these services in their proposals as applicable. Servica Oy is the in-house company of the North Savo welfare area that provides central warehouse and logistics services. Servica Oy may participate in this procurement as a potential buyer for central warehouse products.
