Construction Site Supervision for Flood Damage Repair

This contract involves providing local construction supervision services for the project "Flood Damage Repair of Hohenwarthe Dike from km 0.1 to 1.126". The work includes the renovation and elevation of the existing Elbe dike, approximately 1100 meters long, the construction of a three-zone dike, including a reinforced dike crown and a continuous dike defense path. Additionally, there will be a connection from Hohenwarthe to the Niegripper Dike via a connecting path approximately 500 meters long. Key tasks include: removing, storing, and applying 9600 m³ of topsoil; delivering and applying 2900 m³ of topsoil; removing 20250 m³ of old dike material; installing 17000 m³ of old dike material; delivering and installing 48850 m³ of support body material; delivering and installing 4445 m³ of filter material; delivering and installing 16700 m³ of clay; sowing grass over 45745 m²; and producing 9000 m² of asphalt, including surface, load-bearing, and leveling layers. Local construction supervision will be conducted according to AHO publication No. 2 (2014), which includes plausibility checks of the staking, monitoring compliance with contract execution, joint measurements with the executing company and its subcontractors, participation in official approvals (e.g., archaeological documentation), performance and delivery acceptance, invoice verification, comparison of invoice results with the contract sum, identification of excess and short quantities, end sum forecasts, monitoring the functionality of the facility components and the overall system, drafting deficiency and delay notices as directed by the project manager or client during construction, participating in weekly construction consultations, sending construction protocols via email within 24 hours to the client and distribution list, attending public meetings (twice), and reviewing existing plans and construction amendments. The contractor must ensure regular on-site presence during the construction period, at least twice a week, and maintain personnel continuity throughout the entire construction period.
