Consulting Support for Sustainable Food Systems and Meal Organization Development

Värnamo Municipality is inviting bids for a project aimed at supporting and developing the municipality's meal operations towards a strategic, sustainable, and robust organization. The project focuses on two main areas: 1. Development and process management in sustainable food systems – This includes consulting, analysis, and support in implementing a sustainable food system that enhances the municipality's ability to address challenges related to climate change, economy, and preparedness. 2. Development and process management of the meal organization – Strategic support to modernize and sustain the meal operations through long-term planning and efficiency improvements. The consultant should have extensive knowledge of food systems and adhere to the principles of 'Diet for a Green Planet,' which align with the existing goals and methods in Värnamo that need further development. Background: The municipality has previously conducted an analysis of its self-sufficiency rate and identifies a continued need for qualified support to build on this work. The service should contribute to strengthening long-term goals for sustainable food procurement, increasing self-sufficiency, and improving preparedness. Scope of the project: Support to analyze and develop a strategic plan for meal operations, consulting related to the municipality's self-sufficiency conditions, assistance with implementing sustainable and robust food systems, and process management in sustainable food systems and the development of a sustainable meal organization.
