Eindhoven Appliance Exchange Program

The city of Eindhoven is launching an initiative to support residents facing financial difficulties due to rising energy prices and inflation. This program aims to reduce energy poverty by allowing residents to exchange old, energy-consuming appliances, such as washing machines and refrigerators, for new, energy-efficient models. The initiative will help lower CO2 emissions and reduce energy bills for participants. The program has three main goals: to contribute to the energy transition, to support low-income residents by combating energy poverty, and to stimulate local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This public procurement process aims to contract a single service provider responsible for coordinating and executing the appliance exchange program.
