Corporate Affairs and Public Relations Support

Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority is seeking external corporate affairs and public relations support to enhance its organizational profile and stakeholder engagement. The successful supplier will provide strategic public affairs advice, build and maintain relationships with UK Government officials, ministers, parliamentarians and political stakeholders, and support the Authority's Inclusive Economic Recovery (IER) programme and local authority engagement initiatives. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to influence national policy and government funding decisions, producing high-quality political communications (briefings, speeches, letters, submissions and meeting materials), managing engagement with local MPs, council leaders, neighbouring authorities, businesses, universities and regional partners, and strengthening the Authority's reputation through proactive media relations and thought leadership. The supplier must provide political intelligence and horizon scanning to advise on emerging issues, and ensure coordinated messaging across all public affairs, policy, media and corporate communication channels.
