Ecosystem Transitions Research: Building Economic Resilience and Security

This NERC-Defra co-funded research programme invites interdisciplinary project proposals aimed at understanding how ecosystems change, collapse, and reorganise, and how these changes impact economic prosperity, societal resilience, and national security. Successful projects will collaborate with the RESET hub to develop evidence, methods, and practical models for managing ecosystem transitions. Funding is available for research teams that can bridge natural sciences with social, economic, and policy perspectives to address critical challenges in ecosystem sustainability and national resilience.
