Biocontrol Program Expansion for Floating Pennywort Management

CAB International (CABI) seeks a partner to deliver the first year of a three-year Floating Pennywort Biocontrol Expansion programme. This initiative will scale up CABI's existing biocontrol programme from trial and demonstration phases into a larger, coordinated delivery program across England. Key deliverables include: expanding production capacity through new infrastructure (polytunnel, outdoor pool systems, and supporting equipment); increasing operational delivery through enhanced floating pennywort collection and biocontrol agent production; conducting two new biocontrol releases at priority sites in England and supporting five existing release sites through supplementation or monitoring; and strengthening planning, regulatory engagement, monitoring and evaluation frameworks. The programme will produce expanded rearing infrastructure, increased production capacity, a site prioritisation framework, and comprehensive monitoring and evaluation protocols to ensure effective management of floating pennywort invasions across multiple locations.
