Temporary Probation Operational Workers Supply Contract

His Majesty's Prison & Probation Services (HMPPS) seeks qualified suppliers to provide temporary probation workers across England and Wales. This contract will supply essential staffing to address temporary shortages and support core probation operations, including covering staff absences, interim permanent recruitment, and managing workload peaks. Required roles include: Probation Officers, Senior Probation Officers (both requiring relevant qualifications), Probation Services Officers, Victim Liaison Officers, and Unpaid Work Supervisors. All candidates must pass security and identity clearance before deployment. Workers will be placed across approximately 120 prison establishments, 170 courts, 110 Probation Delivery Units, 100 Approved Premises, and other locations including Council Buildings and Police Stations. Services span 12 regions: London, South Central, Kent Surrey and Sussex, South West, East of England, West Midlands, East Midlands, Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and the Humber, North East, North West, and Wales. Current contracts expire October 2026.
