Little Missenden Play Area - Design, Supply and Installation Tender

Little Missenden Parish Council invites tenders from API-accredited contractors to design, supply, and install a new children's play area (ages 2-11) at Little Missenden. The project involves removing outdated wooden equipment while retaining new basket swings, slides, and three treehouses, and installing modern inclusive equipment suitable for ages 2-14. The £54,000 budget (ex VAT) must cover the complete design-and-build package including all equipment, safety surfacing (compliant with EN 1176/EN 1177), site setup, welfare facilities, and post-installation inspection by an independent qualified inspector. All contractors must be current API members, hold minimum insurance coverage (Public Liability £10m, Product Liability £5m, Employer's Liability £5m, Professional Indemnity £1m, and Contract Works Insurance), and comply with BS EN 1176/1177 standards and CDM Regulations 2015. Essential equipment includes swing sets, roundabout, infant and junior multi-play units, stepping mushrooms, and an interactive station. Submissions must include a simplified one-page construction plan addressing site access, vehicle routing, compound location, and community impact mitigation. All features must be included within the tendered price with no additional suggested works.
