This enterprise-grade service protects externally-facing web applications and APIs while enabling secure access for employees and contractors. Key security features include a Web Application Firewall (WAF) with managed and custom rule sets, always-on Layer 7 DDoS mitigation, and automated bot detection and mitigation. The Zero Trust Network Access component provides identity-aware access to internal and SaaS applications with DNS filtering, HTTP filtering, and device posture policies for up to 50 users. Performance is enhanced through a global Content Delivery Network spanning 330+ cities across 120+ countries, intelligent routing to reduce latency, and geographically distributed load balancing with automatic failover. The service delivers 99.99% uptime SLA for CDN and WAF services and 99.9% for Zero Trust services, with no single points of failure across Cloudflare's anycast global network.
