General Maintenance Services Framework - British High Commission Lusaka

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is establishing a multi-supplier framework agreement for general maintenance services at the British High Commission (BHC) Lusaka. This procurement will appoint up to three qualified contractors to provide fully managed maintenance across an 18-property estate, including the BHC office, the High Commissioner's Residence, Leopards Green Compound (10 properties), and standalone residential houses. Services Required: Contractors will deliver comprehensive maintenance covering building fabric and structural work, roofing and waterproofing, painting and finishes, carpentry and joinery, metalwork and welding, flooring and tiling, and grounds-related works. All services must include labour, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment for both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Key Requirements: • 24/7 emergency call-out availability with defined response times • Ability to manage multiple concurrent work orders across different sites • Regular performance reporting and communication with the Contract Manager • Compliance with health and safety standards and local regulations • Full liability for any damage caused through contractor negligence Contract Details: • Initial term: 36 months with an optional 12-month extension subject to satisfactory performance • Demand-led requirement with no fixed quantities • Multi-supplier approach ensures operational resilience, service continuity, and competitive value for money
