CKH seeks a waste management services contractor to provide comprehensive waste collection, disposal, and recycling services across two properties in Peterborough. The contractor must manage multiple waste streams including general residual waste, dry mixed recycling, food and organic waste, bulky waste, clinical/hazardous waste, and fly-tipped waste. Key requirements include: scheduled and reactive collection services with a target of 99% collection reliability, progressive improvement in recycling rates, full compliance with environmental legislation and waste transfer documentation, staff training in manual handling and environmental compliance, and provision of detailed monthly reporting covering tonnage, recycling percentages, carbon emissions, and missed collection logs. The service must support CKH's Net Zero objectives, maintain clean and safe estate environments, and deliver responsive customer service. Equipment including containers (240L to 1100L), skips, and bins must be supplied and maintained by the contractor. Service level expectations include urgent reactive collections within 4 hours, standard collections within 24 hours, and fly-tip removal within 24 hours (95% compliance). Quarterly performance reviews with CKH will monitor progress.
