HMP Rye Hill Prison Management and Facilities Operator Wanted

The UK Ministry of Justice is seeking a qualified operator to manage and maintain HMP Rye Hill, a 1,122-capacity Category C training prison near Rugby, Warwickshire, currently operated by G4S. The contract encompasses full operational custodial services including education, rehabilitation, training, work, security, and resettlement, plus comprehensive facilities management (both hard and soft services). The current contract expires 20 January 2028, and the new contract will run for 12 years from service commencement with options to extend by up to 3 years and includes a 6-year break clause. The Ministry of Justice has procured private prison operations since the early 1990s and aims to ensure safe, secure, and transformative operations that reduce reoffending while maintaining high standards.
