HMP Rye Hill Prison Management and Facilities Operator Wanted

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a single operator to manage HMP Rye Hill, a 1,122-capacity Category C training prison in Warwickshire. The current operator, G4S, will transition out when the existing contract expires on 20 January 2028. The Prison Operator Services contract encompasses full operational responsibility including custodial services (education, rehabilitation, training, work programmes, security, and resettlement) plus facilities management (both hard and soft services). The successful bidder will be required to ensure safe, secure, and transformative prison operations while reducing reoffending, maintaining high standards, and modernising the facility. The contract is based on the Cabinet Office Model Services Contract and will be awarded through a competitive tender process. The Authority aims for a smooth service transfer with minimal disruption to staff and prisoners.
