Framework for Energy Specialist Service Providers – Ireland Public Sector Energy Efficiency

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is establishing a framework to appoint up to five energy specialist service providers to support the Optimising Power @ Work energy efficiency campaign across Central Government and public sector buildings in Ireland. Appointed providers will deliver professional services including staff energy awareness training, behavioral change initiatives, energy auditing and reporting, and optimization of building management systems in facilities such as hospitals, prisons, universities, laboratories, data centers, offices, and county councils. The framework will support over 50 currently participating large facilities and approximately 15 additional facilities seeking to join the program. Service providers selected will be called upon to deliver contracts based on rates submitted in response to notional tender requests for representative facility types. The program's success depends on three elements: technology (energy metering and logging), specialist resources (energy advisors from the appointed framework providers), and staff engagement (active energy teams within each building).
