Overground GSM-R Telecoms Circuit Replacement Project

Transport for London (TfL) is seeking a qualified supplier to replace end-of-life BT Megastream circuits that currently support GSM-R communications on the London Overground Windrush Line. The circuits must be replaced before their 2026 decommissioning date. The project scope includes: installing new BT Optical Connect circuits (or approved equivalent), relocating interface connection points to Paddington and Romford Regional Operating Centres (ROC), integrating new telecoms equipment across multiple operational sites, and providing full installation, connectivity setup, power supply, system monitoring, testing, and commissioning services. All work must comply with Network Rail standards and specifications. This is a critical infrastructure project requiring experience in rail telecommunications and coordinated delivery across multiple locations.
