    Brief

Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council seeks a contractor to install and modify mechanical and electrical (M&E) services to physically separate Abbey Hall and Guildhall into two independently functioning buildings. The primary scope focuses on Guildhall, including removal of redundant services, disconnection and isolation of all interconnecting services between the two buildings, modification of retained systems, and installation of new services for newly created rooms and partitions. Works in Abbey Hall are limited to safe disconnection and isolation of interconnecting services only. The contractor must deliver a complete, fully operational M&E installation compliant with project specifications, JDP General Technical Specifications (Parts 3M and 3E), and all relevant British Standards and statutory regulations. The Guildhall is part of a Grade II listed complex; contractors must ensure no building services, fixings, or installations damage or adversely affect the listed building fabric. All work must be undertaken with consideration for the historic significance of the building and in accordance with applicable conservation requirements. Contractors should verify heritage constraints on site before commencing work.
