Update Drainage Standards in Design Manual for Roads and Bridges

National Highways is seeking a contractor to update drainage-related content across the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). The project involves resolving over 250 identified improvements and errors prioritized as Must, Should, and Could items. The work covers 20 drainage documents (DMRB CG 501-502, CD 521-536, CS 551, and MCHW CC 500) and requires updates to be delivered in annual batches between April 2027 and March 2029. The contractor will incorporate modern technologies and practices, conduct necessary research for complex items, and ensure all priority updates are completed and signed off for publication within the contract period.
