Brief

Brighton and Hove City Council is seeking a Community Engagement Partner to support the Whitehawk Pride in Place programme, a major community-led investment initiative. The successful organisation(s) will help local residents shape the future of their neighbourhood by facilitating inclusive engagement across diverse groups including residents, young people, families, local businesses, schools, faith groups, and voluntary organisations. Key responsibilities include: awareness raising, community conversations, pop-up engagement activities, drop-in sessions, survey support, targeted outreach, community champion coordination, and gathering resident feedback to inform investment decisions and long-term neighbourhood planning. Applicants should have strong local knowledge of Brighton and Whitehawk, proven experience in inclusive community engagement, and a commitment to working respectfully with underheard voices. This is a time-sensitive opportunity with a final report deadline of November 2026. Expressions of interest are particularly encouraged from organisations with experience in community development, neighbourhood planning, resident research, youth engagement, or partnership-led outreach.
