Body Worn Video Cameras Procurement

Leicester City Council is seeking to purchase 150 Body Worn Video Cameras along with Digital Evidence and Asset Management Software (DEAMS), and related products and services. These cameras are intended to help reduce assaults on frontline staff. There is a possibility of needing up to 20% more cameras and services during the contract term, but this is not guaranteed. Any additional equipment will be ordered under the same contract terms. The cameras must meet standards acceptable for use as evidence by law enforcement and the courts. They will be utilized across various service areas, including Parking Enforcement, City Wardens, Safer Communities, Parks, Security, Network Management, Bus Stations, and the Dawn Centre, and will be distributed to users at multiple locations throughout the city. The new solution will be cloud-based, differing from the current server-hosted solution.
