Consultancy for School Street Initiative

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) is seeking a consultancy to analyze schools in Oxfordshire for the implementation of school streets, which are initiatives aimed at creating safer, car-free environments outside schools. The goal is to reduce traffic during school drop-off and pick-up times by limiting motor vehicle access. The consultancy will assess various factors, including location, environmental impact, potential for increased walking and cycling, and road safety, to identify schools that would benefit most from this initiative. Since 2022, OCC has successfully introduced school streets at nine schools and aims to expand this program to promote active travel and enhance road safety for children.
